Quality Inspections

Total Quality Assurance Systems (TQAS) have been appointed by Rudge Produce Systems (RPS) of Melbourne to conduct all fresh produce inspection surveys on their behalf in Western Australia.

Inspection services include –

  • Pre-shipment inspections of fresh produce prior to export ;
  • Post arrival inspections of fresh produce imports to determine acceptability/customer specifications.
  • Preparation of outturn reports for local and domestic markets at Market City, Canning Vale as well as metropolitan receival points.

All inspection surveys are conducted using appropriate calibrated testing equipment including –

  • Temperature monitors
  • Refractometer – Sugar or Total Soluble Solids (TSS)
  • Penotrometers – Pressure testers
  • Sizing rings as necessary.

Inspection reports include an accurate summary of inspection sample results as well as a “without prejudice” independent assessment; together with supporting digital photographs and other documentation where applicable.

Samples can also be taken during the inspection process for further lab testing if required.

Maturity Testing

Maturity testing for Pome Fruits, Grapes, Stone Fruit or other fruits can be performed upon request.
